Fundraising in school
At Admiral Long CE Primary School we like to raise money for worthy causes, these include Children In Need, Red Nose Day, the Poppy Appeal as well as taking part in some small charity events like Kids Cancer Charity, NSPCC Number day and Place2be.
In 2023 we will be again taking part in various charity fundraising events and thank you in advance for all the support you give the school, be it your time, making costumes or donating.
Royal British Legion 2023
We take part in the annual poppy appeal, where the children buy poppy merchandise provided by Adrian Dixon, who can regularly been seen collecting for the Poppy Appeal outside The Dale Stores in Birstwith
In 2023, as a school we raised an amazing £67.55 - so a big THANK YOU to you all
Children In Need 2023
This year the children once again wore their spots for Pudsey and brought coins in to school to cover a giant cardboard Pudsey Bear.
Along with raising a wonderful £63.06, the children took part in various Pudsey related activities throughout the day
Readathon
Mrs Ward organised for our school along with Birswith Primary School to take part in the Readathon, the children were asked to read books for a donation from their families - we were delighted that the children took part and talked to us all about their books.
Jointly the schools raised an oustanding £205.00, which means we have been given £41.00 to spend on books for the schools.
Well done everyone who took part and hopefully more will join in when we take part again next year
